Talk About Leaving a Bad Taste in Your Mouth

Fans have a love/hate relationship with Cook’s Illustrated, and for good reason. While the magazine showcases great recipes and useful information about cooking, its business practices are shockingly exploitive. They make you pay for access to absolutely everything - this app included - and I’d be grudgingly okay with that if they actually used the money for development of new features and updates. This app has been left to wither and die on the vine for over a year while they still collect $35/year for access to it. If Lisa McManus was reviewing this, she’d say it was definitely NOT HOT - a real dud - do not waste your money.
